As we all know, 2020 was a difficult year. There were a wide range of challenges that we had to deal with, as individuals and businesses.
Despite this, we've tried our best to keep developing important product updates and new features that we believe you’ll find useful.
We thought it would be good to summarize these changes and improvements here for you.
Cross Record Filtering
Technically we released this enhancement this year, but we still wanted to let you know about it. You can now filter People & Organisations by whether they have any related records or not. The new filters added are:
- Has Projects
- Has Opportunities
- Has open tasks
These can all be found in the ‘More filters’ dropdown on the People & Organisations page.
Notification Emails for Tasks, Opportunities & Contacts
Keep on top of what you're responsible for by opting in to receive an email whenever a task, contact, or opportunity is assigned to you. You won’t have to turn this on for new users - it will automatically be enabled.

Report Breakdowns
Landing at the end of September 2020, the latest enhancements to our sales and activity reports let you drill down into that data, to see what it consists of.
To get a breakdown, all you have to do is click on the chart or in the table of the report to see the underlying data. You can also export these reports for external use. A few examples of what you can do with report breakdowns are:
- Performance Management - Understand user performance, and find areas to improve by knowing the activities completed by each user.
- New Starter Onboarding - Monitor activities that new team members are completing, dive down into those activities to make sure their outreach fits your company’s usual approach, and notice any areas where they may be struggling.
- Pipeline Insights - See exactly which Opportunities have been won or lost, and compare which users/teams are converting the most leads.

More Capsule data available in Google Data Studio
Our Looker Studio Connector, available on our Growth plan, can now be used with additional Capsule data such as Projects and Contacts. This is a great way to combine Capsule data with data from other sources, to create unique reports and dashboards.

Sidebar
At the very beginning of 2020, we announced our new sidebar that replaced the way some of the information from integrations is represented. Initially, this hosted Xero and QuickBooks Online accounting integrations, but we’ve since expanded it to host Twitter and Tasks too. You can switch between different integrations so you can see the information that’s most important to you at that moment in time.
We hope you enjoy using Capsule and these new enhancements. If you have any questions or need any support, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly support team.
