Capsule is pleased to announce that Anna Dick has joined the team as Capsule’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The move follows our co-founder and current CTO, Phillip Haines taking a role as a non-executive director in the organization.
Over the next few months, Anna will work alongside Phillip to ensure a smooth transition as she assumes more of the CTO’s responsibilities.
Anna joins with extensive experience in tech, serving in leadership roles for organizations such as Hiring Hub, BBC, Pushologies, and Lunio. She will be responsible for developing new features for Capsule and Transpond as well as ongoing projects and new products and features. With her expertise we will be able to ensure the continued high level of security and data governance that our product provides while continually supporting our customers.
Capsule CEO, Steve Ledgerwood, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Anna to Capsule. After a comprehensive recruitment process, Anna’s vision, and ability to execute were the standout reasons for appointing her to the role.”
The move comes at a crucial time for Capsule as it accelerates its growth plans. In the last 12 months, the business has hired aggressively in key areas, including sales, marketing, and product. These hires - especially those in product - have been crucial for the company shipping three localized versions of Capsule, including Spanish, French, and Portuguese. In addition, Capsule has delivered several long-requested features such as AI Content Assistant and SMTP.
He continues saying that this is just the beginning, and Anna is crucial to Capsule achieving its growth plans. He said: “Over the next 12 months, Capsule will be adding more features to its offering to give our prospects and customers more options to execute customer management, sales, and marketing activities effectively. Anna will play a crucial role in these initiatives, building and delivering our product vision and roadmap.”
Away from the office, Anna spends time working with She Is Action, a community resource platform that helps get more women participating and progressing in sports. She helps to align members with the right content and resources for their needs, to help women fulfill their sporting potential while driving engagement with valuable businesses and organizations already operating in the industry.
Anna also has a great passion for facilitating diversity in the tech industry. Less than 10% of CTOs are women, and with this latest change, we hope to continue to work to bridge this gap and encourage more positive change.
Anna’s appointment is a great addition to the team and we wish her all the luck and success in her new role.
